Information & Assistance/Aging & Disability Resource Center Specialists
I & A Specialists provide free consultations, assistance, and advocacy for older adults, their families, friends, and other interested parties. Our staff are sensitive and knowledgeable—we understand the challenges and frustrations older adults and people with disabilities face every day. What’s more, we’re effective. We’re experienced in working through “the system” and know the ins-and-outs of a wide range of available resources.
Between “I’m not sure what I’m looking for,” and “Thanks, I’ve got it!” are opportunities for exploring a wide range of topics and options.
We offer face-to-face conversations, and one question can often lead to another… and another… You won’t have to navigate alone.
Here are some of the ways we can help:
- We can direct you to the right service and help you to ask the appropriate questions.
- We can assist in planning and decision making.
- We can help work through the paperwork puzzle.
- We can help you better understand various programs.
- We can help you to remain independent.
- We can help you to stay in your own home.
- We can help arrange and coordinate in-home services…
- …and we can (and will!) respect your choices.
In addition:
- All of our services are free and confidential.
- Many of our services are not dependent on financial eligibility.
