Powerful Tools for Caregivers gives you the skills to take care of yourself while caring for someone else.

By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver. Six class sessions held once a week are led by experienced class leaders. Class participants share what they have learned with each other. They are also given The Caregiver Helpbook to accompany the class and provided additional caregiver resources.

The class will give you tools to help:

  • Reduce Stress
  • Improve Self-Confidence
  • Manage Time, Set Goals, and Solve Problems
  • Better Communicate Their Feelings
  • Locate Helpful Resources
  • Make Tough Decision

You are not alone.

This program is free to those who care for someone who age 60 or older (55 for Native Americans). Others may take the class if space is available and they purchase their own Caregiver Handbook. It is sponsored by the Olympic Area Agency on Agency and funded by the Federal Older Americans Act.

The first workshop is on January 15th and it runs for 6 weeks (except it will be skipping February 19th).

It is a recurring workshop, so if you missed the first date, send an email to the organizer to be put on the list for the next one.

Please describe any assistance you need to participate in the meeting due to a disability by a meeting to the program organizers at the time of registration.

Please contact Margaret Taylor – 360-385 1029 if you have any questions or by email at eachmomentcounts@outlook.com.
